SRSC Gala Dinner & Concert 2015 ‘Down Memory Lane’
The Singapore Road Safety Council (SRSC) held its Gala Dinner & Concert on Friday 4 September 2015 at the Shangri-La Hotel, Island Ballroom. The event was jointly organised by the SRSC and the Automobile Association of Singapore (AAS), and supported by the Traffic Police. Mr Lui Tuck Yew, Minister for Transport and Second Minister for Defence was the Guest-of-Honour for the event.
The theme of the Gala Dinner & Concert was ‘Down Memory Lane’ and designed to coincide with the SG50 celebrations. This theme evokes a sense of nostalgia and celebration of Singapore’s illustrious past, as well as how far the SRSC has come. To coincide with the SG50 celebrations, the AAS launched a special commemorative book “Motoring 50” during the event. Aside from its nostalgic theme for reminiscing the past, the event was also a platform to thank SRSC’s donors, sponsors and partners for their support and contribution towards SRSC’s cause. This year, the SRSC had raised about $600,000 from the Gala Dinner & Concert.
